During one of the trips I took to Portland with my fiance, I was very inspired to make quick sketches of each place we visited.  Oftentimes these sketches have a strong impact on me since they end up creating different images than I intended. This painting was inspired from one of my sketches while we were having dinner in the Northwestern part of town.  There were a lot of people coming in from the rain and the light peaking through the clouds was absolutely breathtaking.
