What the Price Includes
The price of each oil painting depends on several factors:
Cost of Materials
Size of the painting. Please see the Size and Price Options.
The number of humans or animals in each painting.
Any changes on the painting that weren’t a part of the initial ideas of the painting (ex. changing colors, adding or removing figures, etc.).
I truly understand this is a big investment, but I promise you that I put my heart into each painting to make it unique, timeless, and a treasure for you to hold forever.
Materials of Each Painting
All paintings are created on hand-stretched heavy cotton canvas or primed panels which are very durable and sturdy supports. The oil paints I use are from Williamsburg, Gamblin, and Old Holland so your custom piece is the best quality possible. I only use pigments with high lightfastness to assure the color won’t drastically fade over time. All of my oil paints are mixed with Walnut Oil as well since it has less of a yellowing effect than other mediums. When the painting is complete, I varnish each piece with Gamvar to help the painting look fresh and protect the final image.
Delivery Time
Please keep in mind not just the painting time which can vary from piece to piece, but also the drying time for the oil paints. Each painting can take 1 to 2 months to fully be ready to ship once the commission has started. I will make sure your painting is completely dry to the touch before it is shipped to you. If you live within 75 miles of Leesburg, Virginia I can also deliver your painting at no additional charge.
Payment
Payments can be made with a Credit Card, Pay Pal, or Venmo. It can either be paid all at once at the beginning or the price can be divided into 2 payments where half of the price is paid at the beginning and the second half is paid when the painting is completed. If the balance of the amount owed is not paid upon completion of the painting, the painting will not be shipped and the payment will be retained by the artist to help recover costs incurred for supplies and time spent by the artist. To start the process, please go to How To Order.Final Payment and Delivery/Pickup
Once the customer’s final payment is received and verified, the painting will be insured and shipped. UPS Ground is used for shipping. About My Art
The way each of us remembers a particular moment in life has always fascinated me. Our minds can only focus on so many details at a time, which makes how we view any given moment truly unique to each viewer. My paintings represent how I perceive reality while I am living in these moments. Some details are blurred out, while others are hyper-exaggerated.
The way I paint is the most natural and enjoyable way for me to create using this model. Expressive colors and lines create multiple images on one canvas with knives, brushes, and squeegees until my perception of the moment has fully been reached.
My paintings are always inspired from the moments in my life worth remembering; especially with loved ones, wildlife, and places I travel. It has become my way of appreciating these moments in life and doing everything possible to live a fully aware life. Using oil paint on canvas and wood, each painting always influences the next. I enjoy my painting process as each color and subject matter control the flow of where the painting will go. When finished I take pleasure in seeing what other people find in my art as no one ever sees the same thing.
