This is an oil painting of a seal coming out of the water. After removes to oregon, I was absolutely in love with all of the sea lions and seals on the coast. On Simpson Reef outside of Coos Bay, I used to drive there and see literally hundreds of them! I want to capture a fun and relaxed expression that I would often see from the seals when they are basking in the sun. This painting currently belongs to my wife as she absolutely has no desire to see it go. 😂 This is a Christian Ives original oil painting.
